Ann Marie Andres, vocals & Piano

Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughn, and a set of musically inclined parents made up the early influences of her singing career.  A prodigy of sorts, she started singing and playing the piano at the early age of six inspired by a home atmosphere that continually permeated with talk and practice of jazz music.  Her father, a composer, arranger and played jazz on the piano and mother, a well-known Jazz Singer.

She continued her goal for music and continued to learn composition and voice in college at a prestigious University of St. Thomas and St. Paul’s College.  It came as no surprise at all to both her parents when she embarked on her own singing career, joining a host of singing contests, using them as stepping stones to her career.

Winning the prestigious (Star Search of Asia) finally brought her some recognition. And since then became a regular guest at various TV shows including a Sunday Night Musical Comedy Show called "Vaudeville" which ran for four years. She was selected the representative for the ASIAN Countries Tour and performed with other South East Asian stars in the ASIAN countries. This exposure brought her to the attention to perform at most of the premier five-star hotels like Hyatt, Hilton, Mandarin Hotel and Inter-Continental. A recording contract with two Record Companies singing her own compositions capped her career.

Ann Marie has performed for decades with a who’s who of the Filipino Jazz Artists in the Philippines and in the U.S. She is a vocal coach and mentor to many.  Ann Marie’s performance is a stellar; She sings the Great American Songbook, straight ahead jazz and standards with absolute command of the idiom.
