General Description
Piano lessons at Vibo Music
Center are enriching, educational, creative, and
fun. Lessons are available in both private and
group formats, and are offered to students at
any level of proficiency (from beginning through
advanced). Piano lessons at Vibo are also available
in a variety of musical styles, such as Classical,
Jazz, Pop/Rock, and Broadway/Musical Theater.
Private Piano Lessons
Private piano lessons focus
on the individual student and his/her needs and
goals, and help to nurture the growth of natural
musical talent. These lessons focus intensely
on all aspects of music-making: technique, musicality,
talent, discipline, and passion. Private piano
lessons are a great way of instilling discipline
and promoting self-esteem in children through
a non-threatening and entertaining approach. For
teens, private piano lessons can be the gateway
to a future career in music. For adults, private
piano lessons are a worthwhile endeavor and can
be a way to re-visit a favorite pastime hobby.
At the discretion of the instructor, supplementary
lessons in music theory may be incorporated into
every private piano lesson.
Group Piano Lessons
Group piano lessons offer
a non-competitive environment in which students
benefit by interaction with the teacher and other
students. Emphasis is placed on listening skills
and concentration on musical material presented.
There are also opportunities to play duets and
larger group musical compositions.

learn, then they will be assigned to a teacher
who is specialized in this style. We have teachers
who have rich backgrounds in Classical, Jazz,
Blues, R&B, Rock, Flamenco, Bossa Nova, Latin
or Folk.

Learn how to sing correctly
& with ease. Accomplish power & vocal
range with ease. With correct knowledge and understanding,
correct breathing and vocal exercises, one can
safely develop power and range without difficulty.
Each lesson will consist
of:
Vocalization.
Understand and deal with the 4 areas of resonation:
the chest voice, mix voice, head voice and the
super head voice. All combine to create one full
voice
Breathing
exercises, liberating exercises, vowel formation
Incorporate
the process in a song

detache, spiccato, ect.)

repertoire (Concentrate on rhythm, intonation,
bowing, dynamics, tone, musicality and overall
performance skills)

In cello lessons,
you will benefit from a teaching style that is
individual
to your own ways of learning. You can move at
any pace--as quickly as
possible through technique and musical growth,
or treating lessons as an hour to do something
different with your workweek, an hour of just
enjoying the music. Whatever the reason for wanting
to learn the cello, or however much time is available
to practice, you will always continue to use progress
on the cello to help you hear music better, and
even to improve other aspects of your life. This
is because lessons emphasize a natural approach
to the instrument, eliminating tension in playing
and in the body in general.I am glad you are interested
in the cello.
Scheduling of
lessons is flexible and on an individual basis.

A Few Words from the Oboe
Teacher:
Lessons for you or your child
can and should be FUN. I'm more than happy to
cater the process to the appropriate level of
development and commitment, carefully balancing
discipline and encouragement. I strive to augment
solid classical technique with understanding of
context (theory, history), all in the service
of creative expression.
In our lessons together, we
will lay a foundation with thorough understanding
of scales and keys, working by ear and from appropriate
etude books. I focus primarily on music from the
classical solo and orchestral repertoire, but
I am more than happy to also use a student's favorite
tunes, as well as anything that must be prepared
for school, community, or church performances.
I encourage students to address technical problems
in an empirical manner, experimenting with single
parameters (fingers, air, lip pressure) individually
in order to better understand their complex interactions.
The oboe is a tricky instrument, and players are
well served knowing not just HOW certain things
work, but WHY.

Improve your skills, learn
to read, understand, and play music in any style.
All skill levels are welcome,
(within the scope of the technically comprehensive
Arbans Book) and beginners of all ages are especially
welcome and encouraged.
Beginners will learn music
fundamentals as well as learn and practice various
exercises effective in developing breathing, tone,
range and endurance which will give them distinct
advantages among their peers in school orchestra
and band situations.
Experienced and advanced players
will hone and advance their playing skills studying
a customized program from various sources including
the Arbans Book, Clark Studies, Voisin daily Studies,
and Schlossberg Studies, among others. These players
will also have the option to be exposed to Jazz
and advanced theory, while developing their skill
at jazz improvisation through the use of Aebersole
books and recordings.

are on the cutting edge of music technology, and
offer a fun and creative way to create music digitally.
Lessons are available in both private and group
formats, and are offered to students at any level
of proficiency (from beginning through advanced).
Digital Recording classes at Vibo will cover all
areas of
recording and production in various styles of
music, such as, Rock, Hip-Hop, R&B, Pop styles,
dance, and electronic.
Private Digital Recording lessons
Private Digital Recording lessons focus on the
individual student and his/her needs and goals,
and help to nurture an awareness of modern musical
styles and their place in the Digital recording
world. These lessons focus intensely on all aspects
of Digital Recording: Mixing, sequencing, effect
manipulation, Sound Capture, programming, and
sampling. Private digital recording lessons are
a great way of broadening musical awareness and
enabling students to further their music by learning
how to record it themselves. For teens, private
digital recording lessons can be the
gateway to a future career in the recording industry.
For adults, private
digital recording lessons can help further musical
skills, and allow adult students
to take control of their own recordings.
Group Digital Recording lessons
Group Digital Recording lessons offer students
the benifit of hands on
instruction, as well as a constructive enviorment
of feedback from their peers. Emphasis is placed
on gaining greater recording skills, as well as
collaboration between students and their recording
projects.
